English Ivy

Brief history of The Hedera helix family,
commonly known as the "english ivy"

Anne transplants the ivy

The Hedera helix family contains hundreds of varieties. All are root-climbing vines, with most being quite hardy and will survive some abuse as to their care. They can be evergreen or varigated, with very small pointed leaves, such as the "Petit-point" to quite large, deeply veined leaves such as the "Annette".

Care of Hedera:
Their care requirements are simply to keep the soil moist and with some indirect light. They prefer to be kept indoor in fairly cool rooms rather than where it is too dry-warm, as they easily catch and attract spider mites in those conditions.
